When I first enrolled in the game design program at Michigan State University I operated as the Lead Artist as well as Lead Designer for our first few projects. I would not consider art my strongest skill within the game design spectrum nor is it my central focus, I greatly prefer the roles of Designer and Team Manager. I mostly work with 3D Models (using Autodesk Maya) as well as GUI and Interface Design.
